Landgoed Haarzuilens includes the imposing Kasteel de Haar with its castle gardens, the village of Haarzuilens and the surrounding lands. There is something for everyone in the area: a visit to a castle, a nice walk or bike ride in nature and a lunch or picnic in between these activities.

Castle the hair

Few castles in the Netherlands meet the ideal image of a medieval fortress with towers and transen, canals and drawbridges like Kasteel de Haar. Like a real fairytale castle, it rises from a beautiful park with huge trees, surrounded by old gardens and reflective water bodies.

The castle is a historic monument that is bustling with activities such as (children's) tours, exhibitions and events. The castle, the park and the styled gardens are open daily.

Park forest De Haar

In this new forest there is something for everyone, such as exciting paths and sunbathing areas.

Little Limburg

Walk of 2km through a rest area with flowery meadows.

Haarzuilens

Historic village with characteristic red-white shutters and cozy centered gardens.

Hoeve Wielrevelt and goat farm Geertje's Hoeve

(1.5 km, 20 min walk)

Starting point and breaks at the tea house, goat farm, deep litter barn, estate shop, activities and events. Cycle or walk past flowery meadows and colorful fields with old crops from the surrounding Wielrevelt. Listen to the croaking of frogs from the many farm ditches. Laze in the grass, have a nice picnic or jump a ditch, while the hares run around you.

Historical experience trail

While walking you will experience the historical stories from this old area.

Wet Laand water experience path

Adventurous 3 km hiking trail for the whole family. Along the way you cross ditches with a towing ferry, wobble boards and stepping stones.
