The Maria Church used to be depicted on this place across the street, on the side wall of No. 17. In 1845, the building for Arts and Sciences was built here, hence the conservatory. The 11th century Romanesque cloister has been preserved. In the garden, the Pandhof Sinte Marie, there are many Maria plants. Since 1987, this garden has been maintained by local volunteers.
